Stop Dog from Barking or Neighbor Dog Barking Deterrent

I had tried everything. I work from home, so not separation issues. My dog just loves to bark. We thought maybe get her a friend. She taught the new puppy to bark and now this has gone on for a year. We have tried rewards for quiet time, crate training, even the most expensive bark collars on the market (two different brands). Seriously, nothing has worked. I love my pups, but I was ready to rehome. I had just reached the end of my rope.

I ordered this with a huge amount of skepticism, but I wanted to exhaust all potential options.

We ordered week before family would be here for Christmas— unknown people cause my dogs to go absolutely nuts barking. This worked right away. I literally could have cried happy tears.

We live on about half an acre. They will still run to the edge of the property and bark all day at the ducks, or run to the other edge and bark all day at our chickens. But, I’m buying like three more of these, worth every single penny.

I don’t even have to turn it on some days. Just seeing it is enough for them to stop. They can’t stand it. I hate that it has to be like this, but I am so thankful we have it (and I’m sure our neighbors send their love and thank yous too).

For clarification we have a miniature Australian Shepard and a mini Sheltie.

After being barked at for 3 years I decided I wanted to try something to quiet the neighbors dogs. The man was outside one day back in the summer and dogs began to bark. He gave a half hearted few words to stop their incessant barking to no avail. The first day of hanging the little machine outside our house they acted differently. Now when dogs are outside and we go out they act as though we have been abusive to them and turn their heads while running away! It’s so nice to be able to go outside and not be barked at - I hope this continues!

FINALLY, PEACE & QUIET. This thing really works, and I couldn't be more pleased! I have an inconsiderate neighbor who leaves his dog out to bark loudly for hours - sometimes in the middle of the night. I put this device out on my deck, aimed at my neighbor's yard and I noticed it working immediately. As soon as I put it out the dog saw me and barked one normal bark, then one whimpy bark and then quietly ran off. Later that day someone came to my house and the dog only barked once. Normally she would have gone on barking forever. Last night the dog was outside and I heard her make the tiniest little noise to be let back in when she would have otherwise gone on and on loudly. I have had this less than a week and am so happy with how well it has worked. I did put a piece of black tape over the light, however, because it is very bright. Other than that YAHOO!

This device was my last resort. I'm so glad I stumbled upon it. I have tried for years to get my dogs to stop barking under certain circumstances. Dog whistle, yelling, spraying with water, closing the curtains, you name it. I've tried it. I have three dogs, an Irish Setter, a Bichon Frise and a Maltese cross. There are some situations where I have not been able to quiet them, for several years. Here are the worst.The dogs can smell/hear the mail carrier across the street, even before he/she comes into sight. That's about four houses down. They bark uncontrollably until the carrier has passed and is out of sight. We're talking about 4 minutes of very loud incessant barking six days a week. I've tried everything and given up. My Bichon has a bark that goes right through your body. He's a true Yapper. He drives me crazy! I received this device before the daily bark-fest and hung it up by the window where they love to bark. When the carrier reached his/her designated spot, the dogs went off as usual. I corrected , "Hush", and praised them when they stopped barking. I remained with them correcting and praising as needed, until the carrier left their bark-zone. The Setter and Maltese figured it out really quickly. The Yapper was quieter, but did not stop completely. On day two, the Setter and Maltese let out a couple of barks and then stopped without a correction. I praised them profusely. Mr Yapper needed some reminding, but he stopped when I corrected him. He was praised profusely. Day three came and went. I had to check for the mail that day. This cant be happening! Just a fluke. One week has passed and I haven't heard a whimper of a carrier alert. OK. I believe it works now.The second most obnoxious time is when the doorbell rings or someone approaches the door. I get a lot of deliveries and of course they ring the bell. Crazy dogs again. I don't get deliveries every day so I'm still working on this one, but there has been an appreciable cut down in the barking. I'm sure that "this, too, will pass" after some more reinforcement.There are other situations that didn't need any correction from me. No more alerting when somebody walks by, with or with a dog. I praised them profusely for not barking. I've had a week of peace and quiet! Finally, a last resort that is truly the last! If you have had years, or less, of trying everything else to quiet your dogs like I have, give this a try. I was sure I was wasting my money again, but that was not the case.Love it!Try it!

It really works!!!!

I moved recently and have dog owners on both sides of me who could care less about their dogs, and they stay out sadly 24-7 in AZ. After putting up two Dog Barking Stoppers on both sides of my house, the uncontrollable barking has stopped. Now I only hear what I call normal dog chatter which is fine. A++ on this product I will recommend it to everyone who has dog barking issues. Thank you

I do not want to Jinx this, but So Far I am Totally Impressed! It has not completely stopped the Neighbors Dog from Barking, but it has certainly made a difference. Before, if you went outside and that dog could see you, it came to the fence and barked Non Stop. Now, I can go over to the fence, it will bark a few times, maybe for a minute or so, then it gives up and goes away. That never, ever happened before!! It would literally bark until it died. When the dog is excited, it just can't help itself and has to bark, but now it gives up. So, I'm hopeful we are training the dog to shut it the heck up! It is definitely different and having some effect!! I say Total Thumbs up!

Direct line of sight is key, it wont work through fences or bushes. I hung it outside my bedroom window and notice a huge difference but the little rat still barks behind the shed which blocks the ultrasonic. Thats why i got a 2 pack, going to place the other one on a stake in the corner of my yard getting the area being blocked by the shed and it should be 100% effective. Owners let their rat dog out at 2:30am, 5:30am. It immediately starts barking and they leave it outside. I dont feel like going to court, so this is a good alternative. Another reason i gave it a try is because i read online these devices can sometimes cause dogs to be scared to go outside and pee in the house so fingers crossed. Hopefully that happens to these annoying inconsiderate people and they decide to move. Thats another thing i own my house and they are inconsiderate renters, not so easy for me to move away.

So I purchased because I have 2 Aussies that will bark the minute I open my door. I received the package and did the test my older Aussie heard it. The younger one not so much. So I put it on the table and brought them out younger one was calmer but older one notices it to much she shakes and hides. I turned it off and hide it for a couple of days. Took it back out when the older dog wasn’t around when she walked in the door the same thing happened she was shaken and hiding. So I believe it would work for the younger dog. But at the lowest signal my older dog has a hard time. I don’t understand what would cause it when she didn’t see the box the second time, or she just has very sensitive hearing.
